Another boring day in Marniland

Yo. Nothing exciting happening today. Same ol same ol... spent the day doing random things, talking to loads of people on the phone. Watched American Idol, and was heartbroken when they sent Matt home.... ::sigh::
Only thing else that really happened was a phone call that lead to a date on Friday night. I haven't had an actual date since last March, at least.... So I'm pretty excited, its always flattering when someone wants to take you out. We'll see how it goes. He seems like a nice guy, so it should at least be fun. Ok, well, other than that, I'm looking forward to Sunday, as always. gotta go to sleep now. Later all

So, just trying to get thru another week of school, had a couple interesting outings today... :-D Just looking forward to the weekend, when I should get to go horseback riding, woohoo! Also, can't wait til sunday night, again. This week, Marni and I will be there, as well as probably Tara, Jesse, Megan, Michael, and Jennifer, oh, and maybe Nick if he decides to grace us with his presence. Also, Wade will probably be there as he usually is, and Jarrod will of course be our waiter, woohoo. I'll keep you guys informed of anything else that might happen exciting between now and then.

Oh What a Night!

So its been one week since my last entry. I know you all have missed it horribly. I spent the week at Tallchief, woohoo! Had an awesome time with all my girls and friends. Loved it, can't wait to go back... ::sigh:: What else what else. Ooooh.... Saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yesterday with Marni and Nick. It was freakin awesome. One of the best movies I've seen in what seems like forever. There was also a preview for a movie I can't wait to see... Saved! Looks like it'll be hilarious, plus Mandy Moore is in it. And she rocks.

Anyhow... Went to see Ben as usual today. Wade came and sat at our table today, and he was actually pretty funny, and Marni and I were sarcastic and anything, it was great. He even offered to buy us a round of drinks, he was really trying hard to make a good impression. Never had anyone do that before. Jarrod the waiter was there again, but as last time i was there, he didn't really say anything to me, waved once.... But that was it. Odd... Marni thought his girlfriend was probably there. Matt rocked on the guitar tonight, he was absolutely amazing. So it was a good night, with Marni and Jennifer.

Then, before we leave, this guy who I think is the owner came up to us. He asked if he should be expecting this to be a "regular thing". When we told him yes, he asked if he should just save us a table, and which one we wanted. So, now we have a reserved table on Sunday nights at Full Moon, woohoo! So, if we invite you, you should feel priviledged, and don't say no, cause there won't be a second time... uh huh... :-D Then, we're walking out the door, and Jarrod comes running out of the back, and as I'm walking out, just yells "Bye Marni!" It was crazy! I mean, first he basically ignores me, then he goes out of his was just to say bye... hmm...... And apparently he'll be our waiter from now on.

It was a very exciting night. :-D

Oh.... and then there was the matter of the pizza... We ordered pizza, and about an hour later, the delivery guy called, from Springfield, MO. Needless to say, we got 4 mediums instead of 2 larges, and all for free... :-D

Its great to be a Marni.

Get Your Last Dose of Marni for a Week

So, I didn't end up writing a blog yesterday, oops... I went last night to Suede, to check out Ben Kilgore and the Hero Factor. There were actually lots of people there, and it was loads of fun. Just Megan, Jesse, Jennifer, and I were there enjoying the music, but hey, that's fine. Jesse and Megan danced, cause I refused... lol Not a big dancer. That is, until Jennifer dragged me out on the dance floor, and yes, I did enjoy my self a bit... oh well So, they played from their new album, it was awesome, I love watching Ben perform, he's just plain fun to watch. So, ran into Wade again, the guy who graduated with me, who also slipped me his phone number a few weeks back. He made some rude comments about someone else in order to impress me.... Backfired Wade. Little tip for guys: if you like a girl, don't EVER put down the people she's with.... Just plain stupid. For their last set they did all covers, including one of my favs that they do: Harder to Breathe, Maroon 5.

So, about 2 am we left the place. It was a really great evening overall. Today I did laundry, which had been piling up in my room, and was practically begging me to wash it. Watched one of my favorite movies, The Little Mermaid, and part of another one I love, Loser, until Jamie came to pick me up. So, we made tacos for dinner, watched a bit of Good Will Hunting, and hung out. Jamie and I ended up watching Coyote Ugly before bed.

But the gossip.... Marnio has decided to erase her blogspot. That's right, not just cease in updating, but erase it all.... So, my link "blah blah blah" does absolutely no where these days...

Better get to bed, this week is spring break. While my friends are going everywhere from Las Vegas for gambling to Colorado for skiing, I am going to camp. I'm actually ecstatic! :-D I know you all will desperately miss me, but alas, I must leave you, and bless others with my presence for a short while. Have a great week, and if you miss me tons and tons, call my cell, which I will have with me. :) Love you all!

Zoo Days

Today was a pretty good day, especially considering last night was a pretty bad night. I was up pretty late, but I was feeling just plain blue.... Very sad indeed. But then, since I was having a bad day, Marni bought FFX-2 so I could borrow it from her. What a good person. :) Then I watched Cold Creek Manor with Marni and Nick. The best part about watching the movie was the commentary that we had going along with it... :-D Then I tried out the new game while Marni and I played "Name that Tune". Great fun.

So, today I woke up with tons of pain from my shoulder, again.... Tried calling docs about it, but it seems my orthopedist and all the other ones in his office are at a conference and won't be back until Monday. So, I called my regular doc. I wasn't home when they called back, but it looks as though they're gonna be putting me back on the pain pills they had me on at St. Johns. We shall see I guess.

So then, Tara and I went to the zoo. It was loads of fun, especially since I basically acted like a 5 year old while we were there. How else are you supposed to enjoy it? :) And Marni and I ran some errands this evening.

My Friday class was canceled for this week. Very exciting. I think I'll do my laundry before I head off to Suede to see the Hero Factor at their cd release party. I can't wait. So, anyhow. Hope you guys all had a good day, and have a good weekend.... Have fun in Vegas without me Tara!

Matthew Metzger Rules

So, today was American Idol day, as Tuesday's usually are (followed by the Real World: San Diego, of course). And it was the special Wild Card show. Let me tell you, while Suzy Vulaca was the best singer, in my opinion, I definitly voted for Matthew Metzger... He's awesome, and so definitly my favorite. I mean, him and the other Matt, the big football player Matt. So I have a bit of a crush on one of the contestants... Oh well... :) Anyhow, it was an exciting show, which I watched with Marni and Nick (who looks like Matthew, by the way. lol), and we had loads of fun. I decided that if I were in the live audience, I'd be the one clapping and cheering while everyone boos at Simon's commentary. Everyone would hate me. It would be great.

So, we also watched the Real World, which we went home for, and watched with Sean, not Nick. We are just popular, what can I say. We saw a commercial for the new MTV show, I Want a Famous Face. I'm actually way excited about the show, don't ask why, morbid curiousity I guess. Some guy wants to look like my future husband (Brad Pitt, in case you didn't know), but I just don't see how that would possibly happen.

Anyhow. I don't know if you guys heard about the hacker who hacked into the school closings the other day, I just read about it on Nick's blog (click on the link to ther right if you want to read it). I had to read it, cause I got into trouble today for reading the rest of the blog and not clicking on the link... So, I had to go do that, and actually, it was really freakin funny. Thanks Nick.

Cruisin' Thru Cascia

Today was a good day. Marni, Sean, and I went around the city with Colin, who's in from Notre Dame for the day. We had a great time, driving all over, and driving Sean mad by making him go one way, then back to where we were before. We tried to make him stop at a Rice Krispies Treats stand some little girls had set up in front of their house. But noooooo. So, we saw the praying hands, and heard a bunch of my rambling stories (according to Marnio.....).
So, the best part of the WHOLE drive....
CRUISIN THRU CASCIA
Picture this, a gold 4Runner, two graduate students, two undergrads (jr and sr), driving thru the Cascia Hall parking lot, windows open, with Get Low blarin thru the stereo.
It was AWESOME! There were two girls sitting in front of the tennis courts, just staring at us. Probably wished they were us.... :-D

Then, later, we went out to Kilkenny's for dinner. Which was also great fun. I got to hear stories of what Domers (those from Notre Dame) do for fun... I had always been told that us Catholics were crazy, but now I know the stories. We then went to the Center of the Universe, which I had to call two people to find. Loads of fun there too, with the echo and all.

And we finished out the evening with video games... It was definitly the most fun I've had in a very long time.

Also, I have recently been deemed the all-knowing roommate, the Guru-of-Infinite-Knowledge. I love my new titles. So, I think thats it for my day. Crazy fun with crazy Catholics. Bet you wish you were there!

The end of another weekend

Yeah, so, weekend's over. ::sigh:: thats never good. Mine was spent mostly in bed. I was sick, so I ate soup, and slept, or laid in bed, trying to sleep. No good. Someone told me today that my blog lacked excitement. Well excuse me... lol I didn't realize I was just so boring. I got a haircut from my expensive stylist today. Its way short again. If you thought it was short before, think again... But, from what I hear its cute, so its all good. Gave Jackson a bath, and got myself a new scratch in the process. And once again, I ended the weekend with a trip to the Full Moon. It was great fun. Had Marni, Megan, Jesse, Michael, and Jennifer all there to keep me company.

So, for everyone's sake, I wish I could make this all more exciting, but its been a way boring weekend. Although, I do leave on Sunday for my favorite place on earth... Camp Tallchief... :-D I get to spend the week there, which always makes my outlook on life a bit more cheery. And, some of my fav people will be there too, woohoo! In fact, I'm riding up with one of them ;), and then we're spending the week working together. I feel sorry for the group who gets stuck with us! Gwahahahahaha.....

And, for those of you who haven't found this out yet, Colin comes tomorrow. You may be wondering, whos Colin? Well, I couldn't tell you, never met the guy. But, soon to be an ND alum, and quite possibly a student here. So, it'll be a night of fun for at least 4 of us tomorrow, and maybe someone else will get to hang with us before work. Hey, the more the merrier!

So I should try to sleep, cause sleep hasn't really been going well lately, apparently I screamed in my sleep last night, or thins morning, or noon, or whatever. My roommate heard. Apparently I sounded like I was in pain. Well, I did wake up with horrid pain in my shoulder, but then again, whats new...

Hello all. Spent the day asleep. I've had to admit its not allergies, but a cold or some such thing.... :( Pobresita de me. So, we'll start with yesterday. Rainy day... Oh, saw High Fidelity on Tues. with Nick and Marni and Eric. It'd been a while since I'd seen that, since all my John Cusack movies are on VHS except Better Off Dead (which is on both!)

Spent yesterday doing the usual, and taking benedryl naps, figures. So, I couldn't fall asleep til roughly 4:30... But it was a good evening none-the-less. Got to check out the new Jet Li video game, Rise to Honor. It's a pretty good game, more of a Marnio game then a Marni G game, I must say. But, as someone did say to me, how could you be more badass, than having such a kickass videogame made about you. Is it possible?
Heres the person who I think is much cooler than Jet Li. But than again, I think hes cooler than everyone, and he's not an action hero. This is my favorite female action hero, and I love watching his action movies. And in case you hadn't heard yet, he's the one who I'm setting up with Jennifer, so that I can consol Bradley, in his time of grief... :-D

Another long day

Ug. One of those days. My allergies have been going absolutely nuts, so its been Benedryl naps all day it seems. But they seem to be getting better. Saw some friends earlier when they came over to drop off a movie, and then we had the usual Tuesday night, "Real World" get together, followed by some 1080. Great fun indeed. Was up pretty late last night, cause we watched Rain Man with Nick, seeing that we've been quoting it, and yet, had never seen it. Going thru FFX some more, I want to be sure to get all the aeons and such this time. I'm such a nerd its not even funny.
So, other than that and the usual, its been pretty uneventful around here. Although, I must say, I am curious as to who all reads my blog... I have a counter now, and so that gives me an idea of how often its looked at, but still not who. So, drop me a line, or IM me or something to let me know if you read them, I'm just curious. Anyway. Nothing else exciting, I think I'm just gonna go now, do stuff, or whatever.

OK. So, lets recount yesterday. Marni and I went to Full Moon, my favorite Sunday night hangout, to watch Ben Kilgore and Matt Fischer of The Hero Factor. So, Jarod the waiter, the one I wrote about yesterday, hit on me some more. Remembered me, (and my "Betty Davis Eyes"), teased me about my drink of choice (Sex on the Beach), and brought me 3 cherries for my drink when he realized I didn't have one. A bit later, he proceeded to actually feed me a cherry, show me that he was able to tie the cherry stem in a knot with his tongue (as did two other friends of mine....) and bring me a little plastic cup full of them. As if that wasn't enough, a guy who graduated with me in high school, and who i didn't know then, started hitting on me, etc etc. By the end of the night, he came over, whispered in my ear that I was a beautiful woman, and he was going to give me something he hoped I'd use, then he passed me his phone number... I mean geez. I have never been so blatantly hit on in my life. I must say that it was a good ego boost though... :)
So, Ben played great songs, like Radiohead's Creep, and Marni and I watched a hot-as-hell Johnny Depp lose out to Sean Penn on the projection screen. Good fun with good friends, but it does turn out that Ben doesn't feel he knows She Talks to Angels well enough to play it. Well, at least I asked. Oh, and last night I learned that girls who like Final Fantasy as much as I do are sexy.... ;) Thanks........ ::blush::
